L'Oreal Color Riche Lipsticks Review

Hi loves! I'm finally blogging again! Today's post is all about the new L'Oreal Color Riche Lipsticks. There are two categories of these lipsticks, Le Matte and Le Laque. As you can probably already guess, Le Matte is the matte one and Le Laque is the glossy one. I only picked up three colors, one from matte and two from gloss, because those were the only ones available at my local drugstore. I picked them up from Bed, Bath & Beyond and I haven't seen them at any other drugstore yet! I want more; especially from the matte collection!

Let's start with the only matte one I bought and it is called "No Matte-r What." I really had high hopes for this one and I was very disappointed. I was expecting it to be the perfect nude for us tanned skin girls. However, this one had a brown undertone and really doesn't look flattering. It also goes on very patchy and does not feel matte at all. They only positive for me is that it is not drying. I guess I have to try out a couple more from the matte collection before I completely start hating on them. Here is a swatch on my lips:-
Sorry for the blurriness!

The next two are from the Le Laque collection and I have to say that these are my favorites! These are immensely pigmented and glossy. Unlike the matte formula, these are not patchy at all. The only downsides for me are that they are a little sticky, they do feel heavy on my lips and they transfer. I personally don't like wearing bright lipsticks unless they are matte because they kiss off. That might be the only reason I won't reach for them very often.

The first swatch is of the pink lipstick called "Laquer-ized." This color is a glossy version of MACs Candy Yum Yum. It is a neon pink with purple undertones. This was the most difficult to photograph because it looked more purple than pink but I did my best!

The last color is probably my new favorite red and it's called "Laque-onic." The formula is not only amazing but the color is so very flattering. It usually takes me some time to get used to red but as soon as I applied this one, I felt beautiful. It is a blue based red so not only does it make your teeth look white, it also makes your skin looks brighter. I am absolutely in love!

Beauty Haul!

Hi lovelies! Today's post is all about my recent beauty haul. I have been shopping like crazy for the last two months and I have accumulated a lot of beauty products so here they are. I also did a video on my YouTube Channel so if you haven't already seen that, please go check it out.

Let's talk about the only thing I didn't take an individual picture of. I'm talking about the RC Cosmetics Brushes. You can see them on the pictures above. They are a knockoff of the Sigma Kabuki brushes. I haven't had a chance to use them yet but I did brush them and they did not shed; so far so good. They do have a strong permanent marker smell which did go away once I washed them. I will have a full review video on them on my YouTube Channel very soon. So stay tuned for that. I paid about $15 for them on Amazon and if you guys are interested, here is the link:- http://www.amazon.com/Premium-Synthetic-Royal-Care-Cosmetics/dp/B00BX7DGIC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1371000745&sr=8-1&keywords=rc+cosmetics+brushes

Next comes the lipsticks. I bought quite a few so let's get started! I'm just going to list them for you because I already described them in my video.

From L to R:- Smashbox Fuchsia Flash, Illamasqua Test, Bite Pastille Violet, MAC Pink Nouveau, MAC Kinda Sexy, MAC Impassioned, Lancôme Rouge in Love Rendezvous, Makeup Forever #40, NYX Fig.

I bought some cream blushes from Revlon. I absolutely love cream blushes for the spring because they just give you a natural flush. If you guys saw my "Current Favorites" video you know that I love their cream blush in "Berry Flirtatious," so I had to grab some more! The packaging is so sleek and looks very high end.

The nude one is "Pinched." The coral one is "Coral Reef." The hot pink one is "Flushed."

Since I have a new obsession with blushes, I had to pick up some of the blushes from the new Maybelline Summer collection. The two I picked up are "Coral Burst" and "Golden Fuse." Coral Burst is a gorgeous burnt orange with gold shimmer. Golden Fuse is a golden beige with gold shimmer. I'm going to use the latter as a highlighter for a bronzy glow.

The last makeup product I bought was from Sephora. I don't think you guys know this but I am obsessed with highlighters. I have a lot of them and the latest one is the Sephora Baked Luminizer in Light Beam. It's this gorgeous pearly white with gold shimmer. I have been wearing it ever since I got it and I love it.

Last but not least, the nail stuff!!! I bought Essie, China Glaze, OPI and Pixi. Here they are!

From L to R:- Essie Shake that $$ Maker, Essie Bottle Service, Essie Naughty Nautical, Essie The More The Merrier, Pixi Vivid Coral, China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy, OPI A Woman's Prague-ative, OPI DS Luxurious.

YouTube did not give me a good choice of thumbnails!

WOOOOH!! I'm Done!!! This was such a long post! Sorry guys, I just had so much stuff. I hope this was informative! Thanks for reading. Stay Beautiful! xoxox

Recent M.A.C Purchases!

Hi lovelies!  Today's post is about my recent M.A.C purchases. I don't really shop from M.A.C too much. Their face products break me out so bad. I just recently started buying their lipsticks but, to be honest, I do prefer shopping at Sephora because I have more variety. However, I did pick up two matte lipsticks for the summer, "So Chaud" and "Candy Yum Yum."  I'm going to have so much fun with them!

The first one I picked up was "So Chaud." It's a bright reddish orange color with yellow undertones. Be aware that this does make your teeth look a bit yellow. I tired on "Morange," and "Lady Danger" but this one looked the best on me. Forgive me for my terrible swatches but here they are.

This is what I look like with it on!

The next one I picked up was "Candy Yum Yum." Oh my God! This was such a pain to get a hold of! I looked everywhere for this color and it was sold out for months! I finally bought it from Nordstrom yesterday! I really don't have to talk much about this color. This is the most hyped about lipstick in the beauty community. Candy Yum Yum was originally limited edition but now it has finally been added to their permanent collection! It is a cool toned neon pink with a lavender under tone. Here are the swatches!

I hope this was helpful. Make sure you guys try these products if you haven't already! You won't regret it. Stay tuned for a tutorial using both these colors and until then Stay Beautiful! xoxox.

My First Experience With Inglot!

Hi lovelies! Today's post is going to be about my recent Inglot purchase! I discovered this brand a couple of years ago through a YouTube guru, "LittleKiva." She used the Inglot gel liners in her tutorials a lot. Since then, I noticed that the company was gaining popularity very rapidly in the YouTube beauty community. However, most of the beauty gurus rave about their eye shadows and as much as I love collecting eye shadows, I thought I would give the lipsticks a try instead.

Inglot has a wide range of lip colors. You can either buy them in a classic tube or buy the Freedom System. It's basically like an empty palette and you fill it up with lipstick pans. It's more practical for people who want to try out a lot of colors or for makeup artists. I just wanted to try out two colors so I bought the regular lipstick tubes. The two colors I picked out are from their matte collection, #415 and #412.

I absolutely love the colors I picked out. One of the colors, #415, is a pinkish nude color. The other,  #412,  is a deep berry color. Ugh! My favorite. I looked for this color at every store in NYC and they were completely sold out. A friend was sweet enough to order them online and give them to me as a present. YaY!

Ready for the Pros and Cons?! No? Well, too bad!!

Pros
-Cheaper than MAC ($12)
- Quality is just as good if not better.
- Wide range of colors. They even have blue!

Cons
- A wee bit too drying
-Not many Inglot retailers available! You can find them at certain Macys stores and free standing Inglot stores. I believe there are only two in NYC.

Here are the swatches!
Inglot #415

Inglot #412

Excuse my chapped lips! Swatches make my lips very dry!

Here is a swatch of both lippies on the back of my hand.

I hope you guys liked the post! You can learn more about Inglot products and purchase them at www.inglotusa.com.

Happy Shopping, ladies!! Remember to always Stay Beautiful! xoxo

My Current Favorites!

Hi lovies! I'm back with another post and this one is very important for me because this corresponds with my first Youtube video of my new channel! As you may know, I had a Youtube channel before titled "MakeupByRuru." I don't know what I was thinking when I picked that name because I felt like all I could post were beauty videos. In my new channel, however, I'm going to be posting up vlogs, beauty, fashion and cooking videos! I am super excited about this new channel and I'm also getting distracted so let's get back to this post, ma homies!

Today, I will be talking about my current favorites in beauty and fashion. Let's start off with beauty! My first beauty favorite is the L'oreal Magic Lumi Foundation. It is a great everyday foundation. It has an SPF of 20 and it makes skin look dewy. I have oily/combo skin and it's great because it doesnt make me more oily and definitely covers the few dry patches I have around my mouth. My shade is W6 Sun Beige. My next favorite is the Magic Lumi Primer. I love this product because you can use it as a primer and a highlighter. I use this primarily as a highlither becasue it has no shimmer but gives you a dewy glow and looks like you are glowing from within. The last face product I'm loving is the Milani Baked Blush in "Coralina." The name describes the color of the blush perfectly. Absolutely love this blush for the spring. It has gold shimmer swirled into it so you really dont need to use a highlighter. Here's a swatch.

The next couple of products I'm loving are the Revlon Photoready 3D Volume mascara and the Maybelline Falsies Flared Mascara. I combine them together to get the false lash effect. They don't flake and definitley do not make my eyelashes feel stiff. This is my Holy Grail combination. Last but not least, for eyes, I am loving the L'oreal Smoldering Eyes Liner. It is super pigmented and does not smudge on the water line. It's also great for smoking out any eye look.

Now on to my favorite part; the lippies!!!! Kat Von D Liquid Lisptick in "Outlaw" and NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in "Monte Carlo" have to be my most worn lip products this past winter. "Outlaw" is a true red. What you see in the container is what you get. "Monte Carlo," however, shows up a lot more pink on my lips. My favorite neutral lipstick is MAC "Please Me." It's a great mauve-y pink color and its close to my natural lip color so it works great as an everyday lipstick. I have great pictures of swatches on my hand but not on my lips. Here are some of the pictures I took.

L-R: Outlaw, Monte Carlo, & Please Me

Here is a picture of the products on my lips. If you look closely, "Outlaw" has a blue-ish undertone, great for making your teeth look whiter, while "Monte Carlo" has a pink undertone.
Kat Von D on top and NYX on the bottom
Let's move on to nails! I am obsessed with nail polish and the next two are perfect for spring! Such pretty pastel colors! The first one is Essie's "Bond With Whomever" and its a lilac color. This looks great on tan skin. The next one is from Nicole by Opi's Selena Gomez Collection called "Selena" This is like a peachy coraly color. Not the most flattering color for my skintone but I can't figure out why I love it so much. Both have a great formula. You only need two coats to make it opaque.

Essie "Bond With Whomever"

Nicole By Opi "Selena"
The next couple of thngs is fashion related so I won't really go into details about why I love them. I'll just show you the pictures. Check out the pants, watch and ring!
Harem Pants and knuckle ring from Forever21. Watch from Guess.
